GY: An Option

Today Mum and I signed up to the 17-24 yr old Vollunteers talk being held by Operation Raleigh in London on the 17th Feb! Going to head up there and have a look what it’s all about and no doubt ask lots and lots of questions! (never get any answers otherwise! ) Might just be the start of the ball rolling! 😀

Why am I taking a Gap Year?

I wasn’t always supposed to be taking a gap year. Before 2015 I had decided to take the same route as most of my peers, finish my A-Level exams, have a summer of blissful ignorance, results and then hopefully start the university chapter of my life October 2016. However, like most things in life, things don’t always go to plan.

After recieving back my AS grades and them, well not being what I wanted/needed them to be, after much deliberation, long conversations with my parents and friends, and late nights worrying, it was decided that I would no longer be applying for uni this year. Instead, apply in 2017 and from there The Gap year was born!

So, this page will be about my updates and research, then hopefully planning and doing what will be going on in the Gap Year. Keeping track for myself, and maybe helping others, showing that it’s not as hard as it might sound. (Or maybe not, we’ll have to wait and see!)

“Adventure is out there!”

Hello!.. no… Good Day!… maybe not… Hey, I’m Izzy, the future Izzy who will be reading this will already know that however, that’s how I’d like to start my first blog post. Something unoriginal, before something unique.

So enough rubbish, whats this all about? This blog is going to be about my progress, my planning and finally my travels. A continuous story about the Auburn Wanderer! *Indianna Jones Music*

Whats planned for the next year? A-Levels, America Roadtrip with the family, Yukon Canoeing Expedition with cadets and Gap Year plans! 2016 is going to be a big year, so here we go!

See you somewhen!
